A bell-flower glass shade on a warm walnut base

A softly scalloped glass shade over a dark wood base, warming your candle from above so the room fills with scent and nothing is ever alight.

Four brightness levels double as four melting speeds, an 8 hour timer covers a whole evening or a night, and the height adjusts so the same lamp handles a tall jar candle one week and a dish of wax melts the next.

A candle warmer lamp with a scalloped bell-flower glass shade, a slim metal arm and a warm walnut-toned wooden base. The arm adjusts in height so tall jar candles, small tins and shallow dishes of wax melts all sit correctly under the shade.

EVXFG Classic Glass Flower Candle Warmer Lamp

This is the most traditional-looking lamp in the range. The shade is a gently scalloped glass bell, closer to a 1930s hall light than to anything modern, and it sits on a wooden base with a warm walnut tone rather than the pale oak most warmers use. In a room with dark furniture or older wood, it fits in a way the blonde-wood lamps do not.

The mechanics are the same simple idea that makes all of these work: a warming bulb sits above the candle and melts the top of the wax so the fragrance lifts out. Nothing is lit, so there is no smoke, no soot climbing the inside of the glass and no flame to think about when you leave the room.

Four brightness levels give you real control over that process. Because the bulb provides both the light and the heat, turning it up melts faster and scents harder, and turning it down holds a gentle background note. The habit worth forming is high for the first twenty minutes to establish a full pool of liquid wax, then down to about half for the rest of the evening.

The 8 hour timer covers the case that a real candle never could: leaving the room, or going to sleep, with the scent still running. Two bulbs are supplied so the first failure does not put the lamp out of action, and the height adjustment means it is not committed to one size of candle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this one different from the other flower lamps?

The base. Most candle warmers use pale blonde wood; this one has a warmer walnut tone, and the shade is a softly scalloped bell rather than a sharply cut petal shape. It suits rooms with darker or older wood.

How does a candle warmer lamp work?

A warm bulb above the candle melts the top layer of wax. The fragrance lifts out of that liquid layer into the room, the wick is never lit, and the wax sets flat again once you switch off.

Is the scent as strong as burning the candle?

Usually stronger and steadier, because a flame burns off part of the fragrance oil rather than releasing it. Turn the brightness up to fill a room faster or down for a gentle background scent.

Does the candle get used up?

Only very slowly. Nothing burns away, so the wax stays in the jar and what you gradually lose is the fragrance.

How long can I run it for?

The timer goes up to 8 hours and switches the lamp off automatically at the end, which covers a full evening or a night's sleep.

Will my candle fit?

The arm adjusts, so tall jars, standard jars, tins and shallow dishes of melts all work. If your candle is unusually tall, measure it and message us and we will check it for you.

Can I use wax melts in it?

Yes. Use a shallow heatproof dish and set the shade low so the bulb sits close — no tealight needed underneath.

Is it safe to leave running?

There is no open flame, and the timer will shut it off. Treat it like any mains lamp with a hot bulb: a stable surface, clear of fabric and curtains, and let it cool before moving it.

Is it safe around children and pets?

It removes the flame, which is why most people switch. The shade and bulb area still get hot, so keep it out of reach in use.

Can it rescue a tunnelled candle?

Yes. The whole surface melts rather than just the centre, so the ring of wax welded to the glass levels back out over a session or two.

Is it bright enough to read by?

No. The light points down into the candle and the lamp is decorative, not task lighting.

Are bulbs included?

Two warming bulbs come in the box, so you have a spare. Bulbs are consumable in every candle warmer and eventually need replacing.

Does it come with a UK plug?

It runs on standard UK mains. Where the supplier confirms the plug type we state it on the listing; if it is not shown, message us before ordering and we will confirm what your unit ships with.

How do I clean it?

Cool it first, then a soft dry cloth on the glass and a barely damp one on the wood. Keep water away from the bulb housing and the controller.

Do you deliver, and how long does it take?

Yes, across the UK. Delivery estimates and options are shown at checkout before you pay.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery is free on UK orders of £35 or more. This lamp is £29.99, so on its own it carries a flat £3.95 delivery charge — add anything else to reach £35 and delivery is free. The exact charge is shown before you confirm.

Can I return it if it does not suit me?

Yes, in line with our returns policy. Keep the packaging where you can — a glass shade travels safest in its original box.

Does it come with a warranty?

A specific warranty length is not confirmed in our product record, so we will not quote one. Your statutory rights apply, and you are welcome to ask before buying.

Candle warmer lamp safety: what actually needs your attention

5 min read Emberlight

Candle warmers are bought almost entirely because they are safer than an open flame, and that is a fair reason: no flame means no candle fire, no soot, no smoke and nothing to forget to blow out. But a warmer is not a zero-risk object. It is a mains-powered lamp with a hot bulb, and there are a handful of things worth knowing.

The bulb gets genuinely hot

The shade and the area immediately around the bulb reach a temperature that will give you a nasty surprise if you grab them mid-session. Always switch off and give it ten minutes before moving the lamp, changing the height or lifting the candle out.

That is also why the lamp needs air above it. Do not site one directly beneath a shelf, a wall cabinet or a low overhang — heat rises, and the space above the shade is how it escapes.

Wax and glass

Warmed jars get hot too. Slide the candle out with the lamp off and cool, and let a freshly melted candle set before you carry it anywhere, or you will spill a pool of liquid wax across a wooden surface.

Never put water on or near a hot candle jar. Thermal shock cracks glass, and a cracked jar full of liquid wax under a hot bulb is the one genuinely messy failure mode of these lamps.

Use candles in glass, metal or ceramic. Not plastic, and nothing with dried flowers or wooden ornaments sitting in the wax — a flame only melts the middle, but a warmer melts the whole surface, decorations included.

Electrical basics

Use the bulb the lamp is specified for and do not fit a higher wattage in the hope of a faster melt. The fitting, wiring and shade are designed around a specific heat output.

Keep the cable where nobody will hook a foot or a sleeve through it — a 1 kg lamp with a hot bulb coming off a table is worse than a knocked candle. Do not run it from a daisy chain of extension leads, and do not use it in a bathroom.

If the lamp ever smells of hot plastic rather than warm metal, or the controller gets hot, stop using it and contact us.

Children and pets

A warmer is a real improvement on an open flame in a house with either, and that is why most people buy one. It is not, though, a child-safe object: the shade is hot, it is glass, and it is on a cable that can be pulled.

Put it on a high, stable surface, well back from the edge, with the cable dressed behind furniture. Cats in particular treat a warm glowing lamp as an invitation.

Running it unattended

The timer exists precisely so the lamp can be left. Using it is sensible rather than optional: it means the lamp cannot run for a day and a half because everyone went out.

Leaving the house with it running is fine on a timer, on a stable surface, clear of fabric. Leaving it running for days on end is not — bulbs fail, and you want to be there when one does.

The short version

Hot bulb, hot shade, hot jar — switch off and wait before touching anything. Air above the shade. Correct wattage only. Cable out of harm's way. Glass, metal or ceramic candles with nothing decorative set into the wax. Timer on, especially when you are out or asleep.
